Good morning Sunday Letter friends,

Y’all—I can’t believe my new book will be out in 17 days. After all the thinking and scribbling and typing and editing and grinding of teeth, it only took 9 years and 17 days. LOL.

A rambling post…

THIS. This is something that will never get old as long as I live. Seeing my book on the shelf at Barnes & Noble. And I would never want that feeling to get old either. Know what I mean?

I feel the same way when I look out at the Ozark Mountains and think, I cannot believe I really, finally, truly, get to live here. I never want to forget how incredible the mountains look no matter the time of day, season, or weather. I don’t want to take this place I live for granted or see it as normal, commonplace. Accidental Cinderella…

Thursday night I felt like Cinderella. Accidental Cinderella.

Confession: I’m no fashion plate. I normally wear Converse tennis shoes and logo t-shirts, and my favorite jeans have patches on the knees. BUT, Thursday night, I got dressed up (for me), added extra eye liner (which may have been a mistake), and even wore a bejeweled necklace on loan from Vintage Cargo. Stan and Jeff, owners of Vintage Cargo, evidently worried I wouldn’t clean up sufficiently for my Fayetteville book signing.

So they loaned me this gorgeous piece…

I mean seriously. Isn’t loaning jewelry an Oscar night sort of thing?

I felt like Cinderella.

I wore cute shoes.
