Oh Snap! – Vintage Camper Photo Booth

September 9, 2015 By Talya Tate Boerner 11 Comments

Oh Snap!

Oh Snap! is a vintage camper photo booth John and I wandered into Sunday at the Clothesline Fair in Prairie Grove. Besides our schnauzers, this is the cutest thing I’ve seen in a long time. According to the owner (website under construction), her new photo booth concept is available for parties, school and church events, corporate parties, anytime. This is so seriously creative and another one of those things I wish I’d thought of. (By the way, Oh snap! is playful slang for Oh no! or Oh shoot! or as my Momma says, Oh foot!)

Cute camper.
Vintage decor.
Fun props.

Oh snap! We aren’t very creative with our poses. In case you can’t read it, my sign says Hanging With This One Again. John didn’t think it was as funny as I did.

Now about the Arts Center of the Ozarks‘ Clothesline Fair…this 64th annual event was held during Labor Day weekend at the Prairie Grove Battlefield and included arts and craft booths, yummy food and live music. One of my favorite things was the vintage tractor exhibit.

Check out the serious meat smoking happening in the picture below. The Prairie Grove Lion’s Club and other non-profit vendors sold a variety of fair food.

And everything was surrounded by amazing history.

It was a fun way to spend a few hours, even though it was hot as blue blazes.

Tom is now giving me a history lesson about Prairie Grove. Many Iowa soldiers were involved in the battle there and many of them were killed at the battle of Prairie Grove. A few years ago we did visit Prairie Grove battlefield. That is a cute picture of you and John. Blue blazes, oh foot, hmmm.

Cute blog, Talya. Not many words, but you know the saying — A picture is worth . . . and you are a creative photographer. I considered doing this festival when I was exhibiting at arts and crafts shows but it was outdoors. And well, you know Arkansas in August . . . or September!

Thanks, Fay. Sometimes short and sweet works. I forgot you were doing arts and craft shows before you became such an award winning writer! Yes, it was HOT.
