WHAT? A book launch party held over the internet means there’s no reason not to “attend”. You don’t have to get dressed or fix your hair or wear shoes or leave your couch. You can attend while eating supper or watching Netflix.

WHY? Because this is my book release date! Publishing a first book is worthy of a celebration and the only way to celebrate with all my friends at once is via the interweb.

because every author needs a special book signing pen!

Look what I got for Christmas! Santa (John) was good to me.

Before Christmas, I looked for an interesting pen at the New York Public Library gift shop. I wanted a special pen, one specifically to be used at book signings. I didn’t buy anything (although the shop was very cool). And can I just say, the New York Public Library is GORGEOUS. Built in 1911, it’s a research library only. Books can be checked out the branch library just across the street. And by street, I mean 5th Avenue.Continue Reading

2015 in review: top blog posts

What would year-end be without a little review and reflection? A regular week, I suppose. As a blogger, I like to look back to see which were my top blog posts. And by “top”, I mean those blog posts written in 2015 with the most page views. My most popular five posts of all time were written in 2013 and 2014, thanks in part to the power of Pinterest (which is much like compounding interest).

Looking back helps me look forward. Knowing what my readers connected with and related to helps me plan for 2016. (Whoa, saying 2016 sounds crazy. Remember ten minutes ago how we didn’t think we would survive Y2K?)
