I’ve said it before. There’s a little bit of Gracie Lee in all of us. The good and the bad. The real. The insecure. The humorous. She doesn’t automatically believe everything she’s told by the adults in her life, and although she’s only ten years old, she worries about things going on in the world, at school, at her own kitchen table.
Sometimes she speaks her mind even when it gets her in trouble.

News and a Giveaway: Today marks my 1,000th blog post. That’s so crazy to me. I wrote my first post in January 2012 while sitting at the Osceola Public Library. I had recently left my Dallas banking job and was thinking about writing a book. And just so you know, there’s lots of “thinking about writing a book” that occurs before the book actually gets written.
Fast forward to today. I was already planning to blog about my upcoming book signing at That Bookstore in Blytheville when I noticed that yesterday’s play dough post was #999. What perfect serendipity. My #1,000th blog post should be about the book I was “thinking about writing” back when I wrote post #1. So perfect, in fact, that I’ve decided to celebrate with a giveaway.
