Book Reviews: February 2022

Book Reviews February 2022

Not enough to say grace over, but still I’m required to tell you.

A new month—welcome March!!!—means book reviews for you.📚

February is a short month, and that’s my excuse for only having five book reviews to share—one written by a local Arkansas author, a bestseller, a classic (extra points because it has been included on banned book lists here and there throughout the years), a recent release, and a coming soon novel.

Coming soon? Yes! I am excited to be an official book reviewer for NetGalley. From time to time I may be able to introduce you to a book not yet published. If it’s interesting to you, you can add it to your Goodreads Want To Read list, get your name on the top of your library reserve list, or purchase it as soon as it hits the shelves.

Enjoy!

Book Reviews: January 2022

Book Reviews January 2022
This post contains affiliate links. I may earn commissions based on purchases.

Hello readers! Today I bring you my reviews of the books I read in January, 2022. Before we get into the book reviews, I have a couple of small bookish announcements.

In 2022, my monthly reading goal is to include a book published independently or via small press, as well as a classic novel. With respect to indie books, there are many well-written and engaging books that deserve an audience (and the resulting reviews). And with respect to classics, many, many wait for me. Even though a book was penned in the prior century (or earlier), doesn’t mean it isn’t educational, entertaining, and captivating today.

Also, beginning with this post, I am including the publication date for each book I read simply to provide a bit more information.

As I did last year, each title is linked to my Amazon affiliate link. If you prefer to check books out at the library, buy from a local bookstore, or directly from the author—I say AMEN to that. Those are my preferred methods of book buying/reading too. But my link is included in case you want the convenience. Continue Reading

Book Reviews: December 2021

Book Reviews December 2021

Hello, reader friends. With my book reviews for December 2021, we wrap up another year of reading. I can’t believe 2021 has passed by so quickly! I know I say this every year, but doesn’t it become truer every year?

Last January I set my 2021 Goodreads Reading Challenge at 50 books. With the five books I read in December, I overshot my goal by 48% reading 74 books. Each story taught me a thing or two while enriching my life in some way.

If you plan to set a Goodreads Reading Challenge for 2022, let’s connect (aka be Goodreads friends) and support each other. I find so many great reads through my Goodreads friends.

Onward now!
