Gene, Everywhere — Book Launch Giveaway Items!

February 29, 2020 By Talya Tate Boerner

Gene Everywhere Book Launch Giveaway Items!

The Gene, Everywhere Virtual Book Launch party is only 9 days away! This is getting real, y’all! What would Gracie do? She’d make a paper chain to count down the days. (Actually, she would have done that a month ago.)

Today, I want to tell you about the book launch giveaway items that will be available to win during the party.

But first, I’m required to provide you with this disclosure: Grace Grits and Gardening is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

Alrighty. If you are confused about the idea of a virtual party and/or you missed the post about how it will work, click HERE. Otherwise, let’s move on to the goodies.

Who’s ready??

I’ve tried to curate items that not only relate to Gene, Everywhere, but also support local, handmade, and/or small business ventures.

Take a look…

Carrots Market List
from Gingiber

Carrots Market List

The carrot design on this shopping note pad
and the idea of grocery shopping
remind me of Gene. Yes, shopping will be more fun
with this paper pad featuring
an original illustration by Gingiber owner,
Stacie Bloomfield. Gingiber’s nature/animal-inspired
designs always make me smile.
50 sheets / 4.25″x8.5″
Designed and printed in the USA.

But First…Coffee
from SideHustleSerenity

Gene Everywhere | Book Launch Giveaways

This handmade/fresh-brewed coffee-scented soy candle
will bring 40+ hours of burn time serenity.
And how cool is this—the wood wick
provides a gentle crackling sound!
Hand poured and made in small batches in Texas.

Package of American Legion
Poppy Seeds
from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds

Poppies grew in Europe during WWI;
this poppy is named after those soldiers who died.
Poppies will always remind me of my father-in-law.
This variety is particularly appropriate to my story,
as Gene was a veteran of WWII.

Medicine Balm
from Red Bird Naturals

Gene, Everywhere: book launch!

Raise your hand if you occasionally suffer
from body aches, joint pain—oh, you know,
those regular aging nuisances that find all of us.
Old Thyme Medicine Balm from Red Bird Naturals
will sooth those creaky places
with wild-harvested herbs, organic ingredients
sourced primarily from local Colorado farms,
and essential oils pressed in Utah and Oregon.

Knit Fingerless Gloves
from CozyCornersCrochet

Gene, Everywhere: Book Launch Giveaways!

These soft, fingerless gloves in ivory tweed
will keep your hands cozy,
even when you need your fingers free for typing,
phone-scrolling, chip-eating, or puzzle-working.
My father-in-law wore mine indoors, all day long.
Machine washable / Made in the USA

Everything is Possible Notepad
from Freckled Hen Farmhouse

Gene, Everywhere: Book Launch Giveaway

This 6″ x 6″ notepad
will provide an adorable reminder
that everything is possible.
And if you haven’t visited Freckled Hen Farmhouse,
you are missing out.
(Sugar Boo & Co. Designs)

3 Reusable Drawstring Produce Bags
from Freckled Hen Farmhouse

Gene, Everywhere: Giveaway

Since my time with Gene,
trips to the grocery store
have taken on a new meaning.
These reusable drawstring net bags
make shopping for produce stylish
and ecologically friendly. Perfect
for trips to the farmer’s market too!

Start Where You Are:
A Journal for Self-Exploration
by Meera Lee Patel

Start Where You Are

For me, so much of Gene, Everywhere
is about growing older and discovering
more about myself. This beautiful journal
will tap into your creative side, help you
remember that child who loved to color
and draw and write once-upon-a-time stories.

Eyes in the Garden Puzzle
from Galison

Giveaway Item!

Oh, the puzzle of Gene and me.
So symbolic, the simple puzzle piece. And what a beauty
this garden puzzle is!

The Pioneer Woman
Lily Dot Melamine Mixing Bowl Set

Pioneer Woman Mixing bowls

These fun mixing bowls from The Pioneer Woman
will make your kitchen time brighter.
And the lids allow for handy dandy storage
or traveling to a potluck.
Set of 3 in these cheerful colors.

RescueBox

Your fur baby (dog or cat) will be extra happy
to win a RescueBox

to animals in desperate need.
Yay for that.

Can hardly wait!!! My preferences on prizes to win would be: the mixing bowls, the medicine balm, the coffee candle, gloves and puzzle. (Not holding my breath cause I’ve never won anything in my life!). And Yes, the books look GREAT together! I want to order 2 of each, (both of them) – personalized and signed. (1 set to Gail for her birthday – hope she don’t see this!) and one set for me. Can you tell me how to get them? Can’t wait till the party!! Congrats, again!
