Bourbon and Boots: Y’all Necklace

Bourbon and Boots Y'all necklace

When I was asked to review the  Y’all Necklace for Bourbon and Boots, I did a little jig right in the middle of my kitchen. Bourbon and Boots is the quintessential online shop for all things southern. I’m not kidding. Southern dreams begin with the hand-crafted items sold by Bourbon and Boots.

Before I talk about this adorable Y’all Necklace, let’s chat about southern women… Have you ever stopped to think about what makes a girl southern? Probably not. We don’t have to ponder this one—we just are. It’s our natural, blessed way of life, that little something deep inside that makes us fluff our hair and swipe on lipstick before running to the grocery store. Feel free to follow me around as long as you like, but you will never ever hear me utter the words “you all”.

Nope.

Those words are simply not part of my vocabulary.

A true southern girl flaunts her southern-ness, and what better way than with the Y’all Necklace from Bourbon and Boots?

The hand-stamped sterling silver disc (5/8″) hangs from an 18″ sterling silver chain that is both sparkly and delicate yet sturdy. The clasp is solid too. No one has time for a flimsy clasp.

And did you notice the pearl dangle? Pearls make me happy happy happy!

I love my new necklace so much I wore it to my first meeting with a Dallas book publisher, a publisher who needs to understand who I am. This necklace sums me up in one word.

The length is perfect – not too short, not too long. It looks fantastic as a single showpiece or layered with other necklaces. And the price is right too at only $42.

That necklace is so pretty! Love it! I went to college at Belmont University and it really didn’t take long to pick up a little southern drawl while I was there and even a few of their sayings. I still say them to this day!

I have to hold back from saying “y’all” in professional emails so people don’t think I’m talking down to them. I want to add a note saying “no really, I say it, I’m just being myself!” Love this necklace, definitely want one.

Seems like y’all in a professional email would be casual but not talking down to them. Guess it depends on the audience? I hope you’ll yet yourself a necklace! So cute!
