meet me in the morning

May 16, 2013 By Talya Tate Boerner 7 Comments

a spring day sings, brings joy,
simple and easy, flowers
bloom without urging
a gentle breeze stirs
the heart and soul,
yet with no hint
of the wicked
night ahead
 devastation
erases
the day
bringing
despair
loss
awe

Scary, stormy night. You captured it beautifully. The picture is awesome.

I agree! Good concrete poem. We’re getting (so far) only rain. xoxo

Your creativity is amazing, Talya. I like how your poem too resembled the vortex of the storm you described.

Awesome poem, Talya, and tornado shape is pure genius. We wake up most mornings expecting a normal day, but life has a way of ‘twisting’ things around a bit, at times. I have family and friends who live in Oklahoma, and they have definitely been in my thoughts and prayers over the past couple of days, as well as all Oklahomans.
