Sunday Letter: 05.29.22

Sunday Letter

Dear Sunday Letter friends,

What a sad week we’ve had. The latest school shooting in Uvalde, Texas—number 27 this year 😦—has been extra-heartbreaking to me.  Hopeless. Helpless. That’s how the situation seems to me. Like we are living in a Shirley Jackson short story, waiting every day to see which unsuspecting school in which American town will draw the black spot and be number 28.

I see those sweet baby faces every time I close my eyes.

Dear Sunday Letter friends,

I’ve heard from lots of you over the past week. Thank you for all the messages and emails saying you look forward to reading my Sunday Letter. Routine can be a good thing. Right? Something to anticipate and anchor the week ahead. I know I’m sort of putting words in your mouth now. ?

Sometimes the unexpected provides a welcomed change, too.Continue Reading

Watermelon is my fruit spirit!

It’s true, watermelon is my spirit fruit. But first, Happy Sunday and Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there in the blog-o-sphere. (Yes, if you are reading this, you are part of the blog-o-sphere ???. ) I may as well confess right off, this post really isn’t about anything in particular. It’s more of an update. Let’s pretend we are chatting over a cup of coffee, glass of tea, or whatever your drink of choice may be.

I won’t judge.

So what’s up with you? Tell me in the comments if you’d like.

In my world, a few really fun things happened last week.Continue Reading
