Lucy and Annabelle go to Zuppa Zuppa Soup Kitchen

February 25, 2016 By Talya Tate Boerner

Lucy and Annabelle go to Zuppa Zuppa Soup

Last Saturday, Lucy and Annabelle went to Zuppa Zuppa Soup Kitchen. The spring-like weather had all of us headed outside, and besides, Ann Harris, owner of Zuppa Zuppa, was introducing a soup in honor of Gracie Lee—Amazing Gracie Chicken and Dumplings!

A Gracie Lee favorite, for sure.

Since Zuppa Zuppa Soup Kitchen is one of the food trucks at the Yacht Club on College, I thought it would be perfect for Lucy and Annabelle. Casual. Outside. Pet friendly. Sounds good on paper, right?Continue Reading

Annabelle saw her reflection…

February 3, 2016 By Talya Tate Boerner

I hate to tell you this. Yesterday, Annabelle Boerner saw her reflection in the window of the neighborhood skating rink and this morning it feels like winter again. So much for Punxsutawney Phil and his prediction of an early spring.

Annabelle saw her reflection

Here in Northwest Arkansas, the last few springlike days have made me itch to work in the yard. I picked up a few limbs Sunday afternoon and dragged all my plants into the sun for a good soaking (the ones I’m overwintering in the garage). I worked on my compost a bit, too.

Only 46 days until Spring!

What’s the weather like in your neck of the woods?

Lucy and Annabelle go to Dallas

It had been over a year since Lucy and Annabelle visited Dallas, but they traveled back for Christmas. Oh, there’s nothing quite like a holiday road trip, and the girls know when they queue into their crates, an adventure awaits. An adventure greater than a schnauzer hair appointment a short trip to the veterinarian. Thankfully, our trip was uneventful, and Annabelle didn’t get carsick (which sometimes she does). They snoozed all the way through Oklahoma, I managed to drive the speed limit, and we didn’t stop until we crossed the Red River into Texas.
