Craft: Seed Packet Party Favor

March 25, 2016 By Talya Tate Boerner 4 Comments

We southern girls are all about the party favor, am I right? The way I see it, if people will go to the trouble of coming to one of my book signings, they won’t be leaving empty handed. So in keeping with the whole GraceGritsGarden theme, I’ve been making seed packets for my next book signing in Little Rock. If you live in the area, I hope you’ll plan to join me at WordsWorth Books on Saturday, April 2 from 3:00 – 4:30. And if you do, you’ll leave with one of these little seed packets.

Paper Source Bicycle Garland

First of all, I’m required to tell you this Paper Source bicycle garland was provided to me free of charge, but as usual, opinions are my own. In other words, my paper source. Luckily, Shindig Paperie in Fayetteville carries Paper Source products (on a smaller scale), and thankfully on-line ordering is always available to those of us who enjoy shopping while baking cupcakes.

Anyhoo. When Paper Source offered my choice of items to fancy up my book signing party, I opted for the bicycle garland. After all, Gracie Lee’s main mode of transportation to and from the mysterious gray house was her bicycle.Continue Reading

Paper Source: Upcycle Last Year’s Calendar

January 15, 2016 By Talya Tate Boerner 6 Comments

I’m loving these crafty items I made from my 2015 Paper Source calendar. Think about it. Since 2015 is a wrap, there’s no need to keep an old calendar, right? Well… in some cases, the calendar is much too pretty to toss. What’s a clutter-adverse paper enthusiast to do?

Upcycle the art into notecards and bookmarks and file folders, that’s what. Your calendar will live on for a while longer. (#ThisIsNOTAnAd)
