Sunday Letter: 12.04.22

December 4, 2022 By Talya Tate Boerner

Sunday Letter

Dear Sunday Letter friends,

Oh my goodness, November was a complete blur for me. And now December is here, and I want time to slow so I can savor every moment of the most wonderful time of the year.

I don’t know when I’ve been so excited for Christmas. I think attending the Christmas parade and tree lightning in Littleton, Colorado, on the day after Thanksgiving really gave me a head start. Also, because my son and daughter-in-law will be with us this Christmas, I’m over-the-moon excited.

It has been several years since either of my kids came home for Christmas. Even though we all live within a short 1.5 hour flight from each other, that often feels way too far away.

Anyway, with only 28 days left in the year(!), I hope to appreciate every little sparkly bit.

Hiking around Historic Cane Hill, Arkansas

That exhibit has traveled elsewhere now but the good news is the trails have been there for some time, long before the exhibit. They are nicely marked, and they aren’t going anywhere. So, you can still enjoy this lovely hike when you need a break from the hustle and bustle of life.

I am always astounded that such Ozark beauty exists right off the highway.

And I’m astounded that I live here.Continue Reading

Book Reviews: Oct 2022

Seriously, you’d think I lounged around watching television all the live-long month of October based on the smattering of book reviews I bring you. (And so far, November may turn out to be even less.)

Oh.Well. Sometimes priorities get shuffled, don’t they?

BUT here we are, one week before Thanksgiving, and I am finally doing a wrap-up of my book reviews for October. I hope you find another book to add to your to-read pile.Continue Reading
