Wintertime at last! Yule
is upon us, the longest
night, frigid and frosty, warming my heart.
Twinkle, twinkle peaceful star. Mother
Earth
renewed.
Shortest day
often unnoticed, nature
lies dormant, silent—
slumbering, yet stirring.
Through the ages, a spell
is cast, enchanting and joyful,
celebrating the sun’s
eternal rebirth.
Happy Winter Solstice!

Happy Winter Solstice to you and your family. Beautiful musical pairing. Like Tom said, “you know your music!”

It is indeed a snake! And I should know. đŸ™‚

Talya, I kind of like this format for poetry, but I have no idea what to call it. Do you have a name for the category?
Talya Tate Boerner says
This is an acrostic poem. The first letter of each line spells a word(s). In this case, Winter Solstice. The individual lines are about the word. They are fun to write. And I’m no poet:)
