Valentine’s Day 2017

February 14, 2017 By Talya Tate Boerner

Happy Valentine's Day 2017

Happy Valentine’s Day 2017! I’m popping in to bring you Valentine greetings and to show off a sweet gift I received in the mail from my friend Dorothy. The bag, decoupaged gold and decorated with vintage style embellishments, took me back to those Valentine parties held in elementary school once upon a time.

Dorothy said she’s been in a crafty mood lately. I was happy to benefit from her creativity!

Inside lots of goodies waited, including a fun heart mobile made of metal and wire. Love, love, love!!! I hung it inside my library door on the wreath holder which has been suspended there sad and naked since I packed Christmas away.

Heart Mobile

Y’all, if you aren’t following Dorothy’s blog, Reflections from Dorothy, go do that now. She writes from her home above the Arkansas River, and her posts are as inspirational and uplifting as the stunning view from her back deck.

Oh, AND TODAY IS HER BIRTHDAY!

(She doesn’t know it yet, but I’ll be seeing her tomorrow night. I always have a bed at her home, and I take her up on that comfort often.)

It’s no wonder her writing always makes me feel at peace.

So as Gracie Lee would say, au revoir for now. And Happy Valentine’s Day 2017. Eat a piece of chocolate. Say I love you. Spend extra time with your pets who love you unconditionally. Do something sweet. Be kind. It’s all about your heart.
