Shout out to plants growing in solid rock!

July 16, 2016 By Talya Tate Boerner 1 Comment

tree in rock

A tree grows in Oregon.

How about a shout out to all those plants growing in solid rock? They grow with such tenacity and flourish without effort. Seeds slipping into cracks. Tender roots squeezing through boulders, concrete, asphalt, sheer cliffs, sidewalks.

A miracle, really.

Growing naturally, enthusiastically.

And I can breathe better because of it. Can’t you?

Thank you Mother Nature.

I’m amazed at their tenacity, especially the tree in that first photo.
