Pictured: chasing after summer

P I C T U R E D: chasing after summer

Chasing after summerWith only twelve days left until the official start of fall, I find myself chasing after summer. Hanging on. Thinking back. Wondering if I did everything I planned. (Of course I didn’t.)

As much as I look forward to cooler weather and pumpkins on my front porch, I feel a bit sad about saying goodbye to the ease that comes with slow, warm days. Maybe it’s because each summer zips by faster than the one before. Or because I’ve been missing my kids and feeling like, these days, families are simply too spread out.

What about you? Are you looking forward to bidding farewell to summer?

Here are a few near-end of summer pics.

I love the picture of Annabelle (or is it Lucy)? My first impression was she looked like she was on a pogo stick. I’m ready for Fall. It seems like we had the worst Summer weather ever.

That’s Annabelle. She loves to run:) We had a nice summer, really, although several days were very humid.

I’m working on a post about trying to get into the mood for fall! I’m having to make a conscious effort. I’m just not quite ready for pumpkins and mums! Good post.
