Pictured: Sunny Side of the Street

P I C T U R E D:  Sunny Side of the Street

I’m most certainly an amateur when it comes to photography, but I love taking pictures and snap lots of photos everyday. Although these pictures were taken at different times in different parts of Arkansas, the bright sunshine ties them together. From woods to battlefield to our front porch, the sunshine adds a glow to each, softening the composition of even a sad, collapsed church building.

Don’t forget to listen to the musical pairing at the end. It’s one of my favorites.

Can’t you hear the pitter-pat
And that happy tune is your step
Life can be complete

What caused the church to collapse, like that? Do you know?

First Baptist Church sold the church to another group in town that never took occupancy. Over a short period of time of being neglected, it has completely deteriorated. I’m not sure now if the City owns it, but I do know there are environmental issues keeping anyone from tearing it down. Sad. It was a beautiful building at one time. When the dome collapsed a few months ago, everyone in town heard the noise – like a bomb.

That is sad. There’s an old church in Alberta, AL (suburb of Tuscaloosa) that someone turned into a house. I’ve ALWAYS wanted to go in there to see how they transformed it.
