Hmmmm. There are no rules or guidelines for this challenge, other than for seven days in a row, write something associated with the number seven. I like rules. I prefer rules. Give me seven rules, and I’ll nail them. No rules is an intimidating proposition.
Yet I forge ahead. Reluctantly. I hope you’ll follow along with me. I’ll try to keep it interesting.
Things that come in groups of seven…
Colors in the Rainbow
Notes on the Musical Scale
Sages of Greece
Dwarfs of Snow White
Wonders of the World
Sacraments of the Roman Catholic Church
Days of Creation
Chakras
Horcruxes
Last Plagues
Years of Bad Luck (broken mirror)
Seas
Virtues
Deadly Sins
Beatitudes
Food Groups
What can you add to this list?
talya
Grace Grits and Gardening
P.S. I added food groups to see if you were really paying attention. Traditionally there are only five food groups in the food pyramid, but several years ago I added wine and chocolate.
Stay tuned for Post Two, unless I crawl back into my shell.
Talya, that’s co cool. It is so hard not to think of the rainbow. I prefer your food group to the standard one ๐ I mean, imagine life without chocolate!
So nice to read your post, thanks to Corinne!
Looking forward to connecting over the next few days!
Thank you Vidya. I look forward to following your posts this week too!
Wine and chocolate – if you’re passing out any, I’ll add some ideas to your list! Need I say I loved your post? Clever!
Thank you Corinne! I may need alot of wine and chocolate to finish this challenge:))
Wine/beer?
Yes, of course. Wine/Beer/Any-kind-of-spirit:))
If you’ve got chocolate, I’m there! Loved your thoughtful post dedicated to the amazing number seven. Look at that long list of things that come in sevens. It really is a lucky number.
Of course Wine and Chocolate! Are there actually five other food groups? ๐
7 is truly a magical number and being a harry potter FAN I vigorously nodded at that horcrux ๐
good lck with the challenge
I could have devoted the entire list or the entire challenge to the seven Harry Potter books:) good luck to you as well. I’ll be following you too.
Your post is amazing,it took me to the Seventh Heaven…:)Loved it
chocolate had to be a part of the food group..how can food ever be complete without it!!! and that was quite some list!!
That’s an interesting list!!! And, I too am a Cancerian. Hope, we will be able to connect better. Of course, will be looking forward to your next post.
Thank you! Maybe I should start thinking about my next post? LOL
I just love your writing and the way you tell a story. I brainstormed seven and came up with “Working from seven to eleven every night, It really makes life a drag, I don’t think that’s right.” from Led Zeppelin’s song and John Paul Jones, James Patrick, and Robert Plant’s lyrics to “Since I’ve Been Loving You”. I guess that really dates me since that is what I thought of.
Thank you Jimmie – I appreciate your comments. I never thought to brainstorm about the number seven in music. Good addition!
Interesting list!
And Chocolate is definitely food for me!
ha thanks! I could use some now.
Clever writing..Chocolate is my sinful pleasure.Devour it with champagne & you might end up on cloud nine…
cool, dug the Harry Potter reference too!
You added Wine and Chocolate to the food group… love you for that… they are mandatory, I believe! ๐
That’s quite a wholesome list here. 7 surely is a lucky number. Thanks for the roundup. Looking forward to more from you in Write Tribe Festival of Words ๐
ahahahah!! I like your additions to the food groups! I seriously did not know that so many things come in groups of seven!

Talya, I just joined Write Tribe, mostly because of your blog! However, I’m sitting this one out…I get more interested in what others are doing than in doing the thing myself. Hey, writers need READERS, too, don’t they! Loved your list – some things on it I hadn’t even thought about ( except for wine and chocolate…I’m ALWAYS thinking of those things).
Yes we definitely need readers! Glad you joined Write Tribe. It’s a very supportive group and a great way to expand your audience into India. I’ve learned alot about the Indian culture reading their posts.
I love the lists!!! Now that my internet is finally turned back on at home this challenge will be a lot more fun!
