Happy birthday to me!

at the lake

Most of my birthdays have been spent at Lake Norfork with Nana’s strawberry cake and cold watermelon on the dock.

Tayla, happy belated birthday. I was reading your comments about Cottonwood Cornerand the old race track etc. Wow, that brought back great memories. I was having trouble getting my google to post on that page ao I found you here. We used to live at Athelstan across from Sniths store. We went to those races when I was a kid. Its so great to walk down memory lane. Thank you Tayla. Best regards, M McGinnis

Youre welcome. We moved to jonesboro in the late 60’s when I was 8. My grandmother lived on the little river at Carrolls Corner until she passed in 04. They had the dropdusters (not sure if you remember them). My uncle still farms the land over there. I noticed you mentioned Norfork. A friend of mine has a place at Hand Cove. We make it up there a few times a year.

Dont mean to wear you out tayla but I havent really gotten to speak with any of the god people from home. I spoke to my mom and dad while ago. My mom said her and your mom were in a ladies group of some sort together. My dad remember your dad well. Do you remember the Crews family? Thats my family. Me and Dwayne Pogh were best friends. Dr P’s son.
