Irises always remind me of Nana. Do you remember all the iris beds at Lona Woodard’s house?

One of my favorite songs and you combined it so beautifully with that great picture and quote. I feel like reading Secret Garden again now!

What a lovely combination of photo and song. I love irises and their rich purple colour. And who can resist Louis Armstrong’s Wonderful World rendition?

I came home from WCDH to a yard full of irises–mostly common white and purple. But in the south bed, a full contingent of huge white hybrids. Lovely, lovely.

I have one purple iris that bloomed in my yard. I’m waiting for its friends.
