a quick retreat

February 21, 2013 By Talya Tate Boerner 7 Comments

in the hospital surgery waiting room last week

Staci:  Momma should be in recovery now.
Me: Yes we should be hearing something soon.
Cute guy sitting nearby, 30-ish: (Walks over to us…) Excuse me, my wife is a hairdresser. I thought you might be interested. (He hands each of us a business cards.)
Me:  (laughing) Really? (more laughing)
Staci: Are you saying we need to call her?
Me: Does our hair look that bad?
Cute guy: Oh no no no, just trying to help her get business.
Both of us: Thanks! I guess?

He quickly retreated…:)

Having been the guy who makes stupid remarks like this, I have to say give him a break, he was nervous and trying to pass some time! On the other hand, this is the kind of stuff that you just wander around seeing/experiencing!

I guess he really didn’t know what to say and as in the other comment, probably didn’t know what to do to pass some time! Thanks for sharing!
