GBE 2: Writing Prompt – Music
I remember how darkness doubled
giving us somewhere safe to hide.
Just two lost souls swimming
inside a fish bowl, driven
deep beneath waves,
steered by the stars.
Do you believe in magic?
Can you feel the music
shining down like water?
Take my hand, take my whole life
and save your mortal soul.
I’ll let you be in my dreams,
if I can be in yours.
This poem is in the style of centoโwork composed from lines or passages from other sources arranged in a new form or order, in this case, musical lyrics of Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, Frank Sinatra, Rush, Television, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Deee-lite, Elvis, The Lovin’ Spoonful and Don McLean…

Love this. I kept thinking, “This sounds familiar.” ๐

First, GBE??? Then, I have a document titled Cento that I have never done anything with. Good job! I’m studying up on conflict toward continuing The Sequel.

GBE 2 is a Facebook Blogging Group (you should join). Each Sunday there is a writing prompt and you have the entire week to write about that subject and post it to the Facebook page. It’s a great way to expand your blog audience and find other cool blogs. But there is no pressure, you can skip a week or a month or whatever:)
Joyce Lansky says

I like this. An unusual approach and that last line is gorgeous. You won’t be surprised to hear it provoked story thoughts in my already overcrowded head *grin* Thank you for both the beautiful piece and the idea!
