To celebrate December, Gracie Lee is hosting an Instagram party. Of course when Gracie Lee was a kid in the early 1970s, Instagram existed in it’s purest form—as a bulletin board on the bedroom wall. Or a photo album filled with carefully arranged Polaroids.
Christmas was one of her favorite times of the year. From the day the Sears Christmas Catalog arrived in the mail to New Year’s Day, she tried to hold on to the magic of Christmas. It was the one time of year Daddy didn’t seem so grumpy and everyone breathed a little easier.
Plus school was out for three whole weeks.
And sometimes there was snow.
I know many of my blog readers aren’t on Instagram and that’s okay. Thanks for indulging me anyway. If you’d like to see what Instagram is all about, click HERE to go to my page. My handle is @gracegrits.
How does it work?
If you’d like to play along with Gracie Lee’s Instagram Party, post pictures as often as you’d like using the hashtag #AccidentalSalvation. The weekly themes are wide open on purpose. Be creative! This is meant to be simple and fun. On January 1, a winner will be randomly chosen to receive a prize. The most #AccidentalSalvation Instagram posts, the more chances you have to win.
So what will the winner receive?
Something Gracie Lee would love.
A beautiful adult coloring book and a Grace Grits and Gardening candle. Woot!
Happy December, y’all.

Well, I’ve already missed the first week, but I think this will be fun. Maybe it will get me back on Instagram. I bought adult coloring books for a friend and me this summer. We still love to color.
