Good morning from Denver! I’m visiting my son who lives in the Mile High City, so yes, I’m a happy momma right now. Until this weekend, I’d not seen him since Christmas. That’s hard on the soul. It’s no secret, The Secret Garden is one of my all-time favorite books. Early on, it helped shape me and became part of my personal narrative. Because of that, it probably comes as no surprise that I always notice secret gardens wherever I go.
My definition of a secret garden: a tucked away, enchanted green area. It may be located behind a garden gate, in an unexpected corner of a commercial space, growing wild along the ditch bank . There may be faeries present for those who believe.

Modern gardeners rejoice! Garden Living is my latest Fayetteville Find and a place I am elated about. This boutique, located at 160 E. Joyce (near IO Metro), is a true garden living shop complete with interesting specimen plants, gorgeous hand-thrown pottery, Dutch garden tools, eclectic gift items, and not-your-typical outdoor furniture. Dallas people, think Redenta’s and you’ll understand my happiness. Garden Living is the sister floral shop to Pigmint (which has also moved to Joyce Blvd).
Simply walking through is a zen experience.
