Southern Giving: Fayetteville Find!

December 11, 2017 By Talya Tate Boerner 2 Comments

Fayetteville Find - Southern Giving

Northwest Arkansas friends, have you been to Southern Giving? This gift and home decor boutique opened a few months ago. Already, it’s become my go-to place for charming southern gifts. Owner Susie Baker is like a long lost friend. She’s friendly, creative, and has an eye for helping a confused gift giver find that perfect something.

Baker is known for monogramming. Her business started out of her home. When the business took over her home (as home businesses can do), she opened Southern Giving in downtown Fayetteville, Arkansas on the square (just behind Tiny Tim’s Pizza). It’s a tucked away place filled with lots of goodies perfect for Christmas. And yay (!) she focuses on local artisans.

Let’s take a tour!Continue Reading

Every place has secret gardens, but not everyone sees them. Today, I’m sharing a few of my favorite secret gardens of Fayetteville. I bet there are secret gardens where you live, too.Continue Reading

Dirty Apron Bakehouse

Ooooh! We know dreamy things come in small packages and that’s certainly the case with Fayetteville’s newest bakery. Dirty Apron Bakehouse opened in April, and I finally got around to visiting a few days ago. This tiny spot is located off Dickson behind Nightbird Books.

Dirty Apron Bakehouse

Dirty Apron bakes small batch naturally leavened sourdough using a French, mid-nineteenth century fermentation process. This process is said to result in more digestible and flavorful bread. In addition to freshly baked loaves, the bakehouse also offers a daily menu that includes pastries, breakfast sandwiches, salads, coffee, beer, and hot tea.Continue Reading
