Sunday Letter: 07.01.18

July 1, 2018 By Talya Tate Boerner

Sunday Letter 07.01.18

Dear Sunday Letter friends,
The way I see it, part of my responsibility is to remind you of the date. When time passes as fast as ice cream melts, it’s easy to think we’re still hanging out in April. But today is the first day of July. Hang on. As of today, we’re officially sliding down the backside of 2018. Baseball is behind us (Hogs had an amazing season!), and for the foreseeable future, there’s nothing ahead but burning pavement.Continue Reading

June 2018 Book Reviews

Book Reviews June 2018:

I can’t believe June is over! I did lots of traveling in June which means a couple of these books were audio versions. Also, I went to the lake. I always read 2-3 books (sometimes 4) at the lake. Did you watch The Great American Read a few weeks ago on PBS? Because of that fantastic show, I am determined to read more of the 100 most recommended books on the PBS list  (i.e. A Confederacy of Dunces).Continue Reading

Sunday Postcard: 06.24.18

June 24, 2018 By Talya Tate Boerner

Sunday Postcard

Today I’m sending a Sunday Postcard instead of a letter. I just got home from a week at the lake, and I’m not organized enough to write a letter. Still, I wanted to say hi.

Postcards are a fun way to send greetings, a small slice of travel delivered to someone’s mailbox.

When I was a kid, I loved to send postcards to friends when I was away on summer vacation. Or I sent them back home to my parents and little sister from camp.

Did you?

There wasn’t much room on the card to write all my exciting travel news, but I always ended with wish you were here.

Even when I didn’t.

Who wanted their parents tagging along to cheerleader camp?

Not me.

postcard from meAnother thing about the postcard…usually I arrived home before my postcard.

Sorry I cheated this week.
Longer letter later!
