I’ve said it before. There’s a little bit of Gracie Lee in all of us. The good and the bad. The real. The insecure. The humorous. She doesn’t automatically believe everything she’s told by the adults in her life, and although she’s only ten years old, she worries about things going on in the world, at school, at her own kitchen table.
Sometimes she speaks her mind even when it gets her in trouble.
Other times, she works through problems in her own way.
Although Gracie Lee is part of me, she isn’t me, especially not as a child. But writing about Gracie Lee has made me think about my own weaknesses. That’s the power of writing and thinking and digging deep.
Be like Gracie Lee.☺
