(Firmoo.com provided free sunglasses for this review. Opinions are my own.)
I don’t do many product reviews, but when Firmoo asked me to try out and review sunglasses of my choice, how could I not? In the South, a girl needs a good pair of sunglasses. Plus I recently broke my favorite aviator style glasses, so the timing was perfect.
My choice was easy-peasy. I selected these oval cat frames (below) because I love the shape AND I adore the turquoise-blue trim along the frame bottom. (My favorite color.)
Firmoo.com is a large on-line eyeglass company with hundreds of choices including plastic, titanium, mixed material, memorial material, reading, prescription, bifocal, computer, progressive, designer, specialty, polarized, retro and more. They even have nerd glasses. And Elton John glasses…
The website is fun. You can search by frame shape, upload your photo and do a “virtual try-on”. It’s like playing dress up.
My glasses arrived quickly. I am pleased with the quality. The frames feel sturdy and balanced. The lens tint is perfect.
This cute case was included, along with a dust cloth and teeny tiny eyeglass screwdriver. I consider the screwdriver a nice touch, because I can never find one when I need one.
Full disclosure—the glasses are not made in the USA. I discovered this when my international package arrived. According to Firmoo.com, manufacturing in Asia keeps overhead down. Just curious, is this a deal-breaker for you?
Prices start at $39. Clearance glasses are as low as $8. Check the website and Facebook page for free offers, sales and giveaways.
I think I need a second pair…

Talya: The glasses are cute and the website looks like fun. I hate picking out new frames because once I take my specs off I can’t see what I look like in the samples. The website would fix that. Frankly, the $79 would be the deal breaker. I am death to sunglasses and might go for the $8 clearance but never spend much on a pair since they won’t be around long. Now if they are made of titanium and have a homing device . . . maybe . . .

Dot, I know what you mean! I go through them quickly too. Most of their glasses were priced at $29. Thanks for commenting.

I LOVE the shape of those, they look good on you. I like to invest in a good pair of sunglasses that are well mad ean dwill last. I do prefer to buy US made when possible though.

Oooh, I really like the glasses you ended up choosing and hadn’t seen that particular color combination before. Hmm… time to go check out the website and “try on” a bunch of styles for myself. 🙂

You chose such cute glasses! I like that color on you. I’m not a big fan of spending more than $15 on a pair of sunglasses, especially when I can’t try them on for fit (I have a broad head and many are way too tight). I would definitely be interested in looking at the clearance sometime, though.

Awesome!…Great-looking sunglasses always makes a person look cool, and these super great-looking sunglasses are sold at a very affordable price…I don’t necessarily like that the sunglasses are manufactured overseas, but with corporate taxes like they are here in the U.S. (the highest in the world), I can understand. Thanks for the great info, the great pics, and the great song.

Thanks Tim! I have mixed feelings about it too.

The ones you chose are perfect for you. I love the turquoise accent. Maybe you should get a second pair of them, just in case!
