GBE:2 Week 113 Photo Writing Prompt… Wrong Way, Go Back
The voice living inside my head bores into my thoughts saying wrong way, go back.
She whispers wrong path, bo-rrrr-ing, no one is interested in following your tales.

Go
back
to
something
safer.
As I free-write in my journal, I’ve learned to silence her muttering with my pen.
Beyond pot holes and washed out gravel at the far end of the most overgrown road live the most compelling ideas and inspiration.
The only wrong way is sitting still and doing nothing.

You are an inspiration! I’ve heard that same voice.

Now that is an inspiration. Perhaps that is why when I free write when I have no clue what to write it works out so well.

Usually, when I free write, I discover a whole, organized post comes out of it. Of course, that might take several days, but hey. 🙂

I love the imagery of the road that leads out to pot holes and then a washed out road. I can just see it!

Yes, yes the free write is almost never the wrong way. There is almost never a reason to go back to safe. It’s fun and it’s creative and sometimes it’s funny and sometimes it’s just awe inspiring and touching. I love to free write.

    Good job!
