Gary Henderson tagged me in the Lucky Seven Challenge. The rules of the challenge are…
Go to page 7 or 77 of your latest work. Read down to the seventh line and then post online the next seven lines or sentences. Then head off and tag seven more writers.
So here are seven sentences beginning with the seventh line of page seventy-seven of the book I am writing:))
My time alone was limited. I shampooed, rinsed, stepped from the shower, and wrapped myself in a towel leaving my tangled hair dripping down my back. Slathering on my favorite body lotion, I closed my eyes and inhaled the scent, allowing myself this small indulgence. The air trapped inside the bathroom smelled of lavender, sauna steamy and relaxing. I opened the bathroom door just a crack— an escape hatch for the heat. Although I knew Gene wouldn’t tackle the stairs alone, I half expected him to be sitting on the bed waiting and watching, not remembering what I was doing in the bathroom. As the mirror above the sink cleared, I glimpsed my tired reflection. Could I noticeably age in one week?
If you don’t want to play, or if you’ve already been tagged and don’t want to play again, feel free to ignore. If you haven’t been tagged and do want to play, feel free to comment, point to your blog, and join in. I am tagging Pat Laster, Tracie Adams, April Kennedy, LindaLee Tritton, Jen Nipps.

What is the timeline, I haven’t yet started my book?!
Thanks, but I’m only to page 63. Maybe I should hurry it along so I can “play.”
You can do page 7 as well:)
I received this from someone, but it had nothing about what to do/ why to do it, so I deleted it. Now, I see the reason: inspiration, sharing, prodding, etc.
A nice sneak peak 🙂
What is the timeline, I haven’t yet started my book?!
There is no timeline. The person who tagged me was tagged over a year ago, forgot, then found the tag in email and did it. I waited a month until my current WIP was edited. 🙂
I don’t know how to play!!
Ok, I’ll play!
“If you desire, I should be quite pleased to write you a reference.”
The young man beamed. “Thank you, Professor. What you just said means a great deal to me!” He hopped to his feet but paused at the door. “Feel better, Sir.”
“Thank you. I’ll simply need to get up on the other side of the bed tomorrow.” Stafford smiled. Martin grinned and left, his footsteps tumbling down the stairs.
Notes in hand, Stafford strolled to Christ Church the following Monday to speak to the garden club as he had promised Miss Jameson. He hoped his relaxed gait belied the knots in his stomach.
I know your book will be fantastic! Can’t wait:))
