Lucy and Annabelle go to Dallas

January 19, 2016 By Talya Tate Boerner

It had been over a year since Lucy and Annabelle visited Dallas, but they traveled back for Christmas. Oh, there’s nothing quite like a holiday road trip, and the girls know when they queue into their crates, an adventure awaits. An adventure greater than a schnauzer hair appointment a short trip to the veterinarian. Thankfully, our trip was uneventful, and Annabelle didn’t get carsick (which sometimes she does). They snoozed all the way through Oklahoma, I managed to drive the speed limit, and we didn’t stop until we crossed the Red River into Texas.

The closer we got, the more excited they became.

Especially when we drove over to Munger Place to see Harry. Harry is a Munger Place fixture and one of Lucy and Annabelle’s favorite humans. I’m sure they’ve been wondering why they haven’t seen him in soooo long.

Although Dallas is only five hours away, it’s amazing the difference in landscaping. The grass (clover) is still green and filled with Texas smells. Lucy and Annabelle noticed.

Now, only a few weeks later, we are all nestled back home in Arkansas, the weather is frigid, and our holiday road trip is but a memory.

Ladies, don’t we wish we had Lucy’s eyelashes?

Stay warm, everyone. Stay warm.

Cute! You take so many pictures because you have such adorable subjects. If you drive six or so miles north, you’ll think a different landscape. Haha Staying warm has been a real challenge here.

Miles or hours?:) I know you’re right about that.

Yes, hours. Duh! I am not used to describing distance in hours instead of miles. Haha
